A Morning Making Waves with Bull Island Action Group
by Aoibhe Casey
Last Friday, the team hit Dollymount Strand with Bull Island Action Group for an early morning beach clean.
It was a chance to step away from the desk, reconnect as a team and spend time doing something positive for a local community space that so many people enjoy.
Armed with hi-vis vests, litter pickers and caffeine-induced energy, we spent the morning clearing rubbish from the dunes and shoreline alongside the volunteers who dedicate their Fridays to keeping the area beautiful for the dog walkers, sea swimmers, kite surfers and families who use it.
It was a much-needed reminder of how valuable it can be to get outside, work together in a different way and contribute to something meaningful and tangible close to home.
To round off the morning, we rewarded ourselves with cheese toasties and coffees at Happy Out overlooking the sea.
A huge thank you to the volunteers at Bull Island Action Group for welcoming us and for the brilliant work they do week in, week out.
