Brand Writer


4-month period | Full-time | Remote or in-studio

At RichardsDee, we’re big believers in the power of words and the role they play in creating strategic brands that stand out and stay with you. Right now, we’re looking for a mid-weight Brand Writer to join our creative team. This will be a 4–month contract working across a diverse mix accounts.  

Every day will bring something different, but at the heart of it, you’ll be working closely with local and international brands, using voice and language to shape their stories and interactions. Creating meaningful change with words.  

  

About you  

You’ll be wired for words and an advocate for the power of language in branding. You’ll be able to define the big picture idea and refine the tiniest details. Most days, you’ll be writing copy and working alongside our strategic team to crack compelling brand propositions, manifestos, messaging and tone of voice guidance. You’ll also create presentations, dream up engaging creative concepts, write scripts, digital copy, reports and proposals. You’ll be super comfortable collaborating, presenting your work and leading out client presentations. You’ll work with and report into our senior team – from our office on O’Connell Street or dialling in from home.   

  

About your skills 

  • You’ll have strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  • You’ll take ownership of tone and direction for new brand identity and brand refresh programmes.  
  • You’ll build trust with senior teams by connecting brand language to business goals and confidently presenting clear recommendations.  
  • You’ll get under the skin of brands, products and services - shaping brand positionings, messaging platforms and stories that feel clear and compelling. 
  • You’ll be curious about our clients’ world – their strategy, customers, competitors and beyond.  
  • You’ll have experience developing names for brands, products and services.   
  • You’ll be the guardian of written communications and be able to take, absorb and action feedback from different people.  
  • You’ll take part in client and market discovery activities (think stakeholder interviews, research, audits, workshops, and customer insights sessions).  
  • You’ll be able to lead delivery from start to finish – project scoping and work plans, ensuring feasibility and accuracy, completing projects on time and on brief and managing a number of projects at a time.  
  • You’ll deliver thought-leadership and insights as to how brands use language and innovation within the field.

Qualifications   

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English / Professional writing / Editorial writing   
  • 4+ years of brand writing experience
