Senior Copywriter

We are looking for a creative and strategic copywriter who is passionate about the role of language in branding. The role is for a team player who is eager to grow their skills, to work on local and global projects, work with brands to uncover, create and manage their verbal and written voice. You will help brands understand how brand language can play a pivotal role in how they communicate both internally and with the wider world. We are looking for someone who is passionate and authoritative about language, can capture the big picture simply, excel at the detail and is curious to learn about brands, businesses and their products. 

You need to be a talented wordsmith, skilled at uncovering the stories of brands and working across many different communication challenges. You will be responsible for working with companies to discover how they can improve their use of language, driving and elevating our brand language service, always showing how words and voice play a key role in branding.

You are

  • A creative, original, strategic thinker with a talent for words.
  • Able to develop a strong verbal dynamic (manifestos, stories, TOV, messaging platforms and narratives) to our brand strategy and identity programmes 
  • Not afraid to be flexible in creative copy (long, short, headlines, scripts, stories) for many different audiences and communications
  • Curious to understand the world and business of our clients – business strategy, competitors, customer/consumer insights
  • Passionate and curious about language and its role in branding
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Write, craft and develop compelling, unique, and differentiating brand voice for clients.
  • Creative thinker for naming of brands, products and services. 

Responsibilities

  • Inspire and drive brand language, ensuring it has a key role in branding
  • Work with internal teams and clients to research, review, define and create brand language insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare recommendations and concepts for client review and presentation.
  • Lead tone of voice, messaging and naming projects
  • Develop stories, campaigns and messaging for branding programmes and brand experience projects across print, digital and moving image applications.
  • Ensure that all content is well written, proofed and on brand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English
  • 5+ years of copywriting experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passionate and curious about language and its role in branding
