What happens when Brand and UX designers meet for one night?

by Anastasiia Chorna

Plenty of questions. Honest advice. Fresh perspectives. And a room full of people eager to grow.

This Monday we hosted an event with the Projector Institute Global Community, and it was more than just a talk. It was a conversation. A moment to reflect, share, and connect.

From the RichardsDee side, our Design Director, David Dowling gave a candid talk about his career journey, what it takes to grow as a brand designer, and how we measure success at RichardsDee — not just by outputs but by curiosity, initiative, and the process behind the work.

Then Mike Rybachuk from Projector Institute brought in the UX perspective. His talk opened up new angles on growth and skills that are just as relevant to brand designers. A thoughtful crossover that sparked plenty of questions.

We wrapped up with portfolio reviews and a Q&A, and we were honestly blown away by the energy and drive of everyone in the room. So many talented folks came ready: asking sharp questions, seeking feedback, and connecting with speakers and each other.

Big thanks to:

  • David Dowling — for an inspiring talk
  • Mike Rybachuk — for challenging us with a new perspective
  • Liam Willis — for capturing it all through the lens
  • Maria Marks — for joining the discussion
  • Anastasiia Chorna, Maryna Nytchenko & Olha Shchepak — for making this event happen

All in, it was a diverse, insightful evening and we’re grateful to everyone who came, asked, listened, and shared. Let’s do it again soon.
